Notice – National Lockdown LEVEL 1

 

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced new lockdown measures at both national, and district level for South Africa

on the 30th of September 2021.

​

  1. The wearing of masks in public places remains mandatory.
     

  2. A national curfew remains in place but has been changed to 00h00 until 04h00
    (this excludes permitted workers or for urgent medical assistance).
     

  3. The screening of domestic workers and contractors will continue at the main gate.
     

  4. Residents are permitted to walk or jog within the estate
    (social distancing must still be adhered to) between 04h00 and 24h00.
     

  5. All visitors will be refused entry between 00h00 and 04h00 as per the curfew.
     

  6. The Clubhouse and Bistro will be open until 23:00 and are permitted to sell alcohol.
     

The situation will be monitored constantly, and changes made if required, to ensure residents that

everything reasonable is being done to stay abreast to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
 

We implore residents to follow all requests and instructions implemented so far.
Everything is done to minimize the impact on the Riverglades Estate community.

RIVERGLADES SHUTDOWN PROTOCOL Coronavirus Hotline 080 002 9999 

DURATION OF LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL:  CURRENT TO 29 DECEMBER 2020 UNLESS AMENDED

1.    STAY INSIDE YOUR HOME. YOUR BALCONY AND YOUR PATIO ALSO CONSTITUTE AS YOUR HOME.
2.    YOU MAY LEAVE THE ESTATE TO FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERFORMING AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE, OBTAINING AN ESSENTIAL GOOD OR SERVICE, COLLECTING A SOCIAL GRANT OR SEEKING AN EMERGENCY LIFE SAVING OR CHRONIC MEDICAL ATTENTION. (THIS INCLUDES THE RIVER MART TRADER TO OBTAIN ESSENTIAL GOODS – OBSERVE THE HYGIENE PROTOCOLS).
3.    YOU MAY TAKE REFUSE TO THE DESIGNATED REFUSE AREAS AND RETURN HOME.
4.    YOU MAY NOT WALK YOUR DOG.
5.    YOU MAY NOT WALK FOR “EXERCISE” OR JOG.
6.    YOU MAY NOT GATHER / VISIT OR LINGER IN ANY OF THE COMMON AREAS INCLUDING THE PIAZZA, POOLS, LAPAS, DOG PARK, TENNIS COURTS, KIDS PARK OR ANY OTHER RECREATIONAL AREA.
7.    THE RIVER AREA IS CLOSED AS PER DIRECTIVE FROM CITY PARKS.
8.    DELIVERIES ARE TO BE COLLECTED AT THE GATE, NO DELIVERY PERSONS OR VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN.
9.    NO VISITORS WILL BE GRANTED ACCESS UNLESS IN POSSESSION OF A PERMIT (ANNEXURE C FORM 1 AS GAZETTED IN GOVERNMENT GAZETTE) DETAILING THAT PERSON AS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES.
10.    OFFENDERS OF THE ABOVE WILL BE REPORTED TO THE DESIGNATED SAPS OFFICER AT DOUGLASDALE SAPS FOR FURTHER ACTION AS DETERMINED BY THE STATE.
11.    NO ALC0HOL TO BE CONSUMED ANYWHERE ON RIVERGLADES PROPERTY UNLESS BY YOU IN YOUR OWN UNIT. (CARRIES FINE / PRISON SENTENCE OR BOTH)
12.    NO TRANSPORT OF ANY ALCOHOL ANYWHERE ON RIVERGLADES PROPERTY. (CARRIES FINE /PRISON SENTENCE OR BOTH)

ANY CASE OF CONFIRMED CORONA VIRUS / COVID-19 TO BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO SECURITY MANAGER AND AUTHORITIES. FAILURE TO DO SO RESULTS IN MURDER / ATTEMPTED MURDER / OTHER CHARGES AND PRISON TIME.
